Recognize Exceptional Providers Who Make a Difference
The Wisconsin Family Child Care Association proudly recognizes outstanding child care providers who reflect our commitment to supporting, educating, and advocating for family child care providers, children, families, and communities.
The Provider of the Year Award honors a provider who makes a difference not only in the lives of the children and families in their care, but also in the broader child care community.
Do you know a provider who supports and mentors others, serves as a trusted resource, or advocates for children and providers? Consider nominating them for the Provider of the Year Award, presented at the WFCCA Conference.
Who Should Be Nominated?
We are looking for providers who demonstrate one or more of the following qualities:
- Dedication: Supports the well-being, growth, and success of children.
- Excellence: Is rated 4 or 5 stars in YoungStar or working towards accreditation.
- Advocacy: Actively engages in advocacy, preferably in the past year.
- Peer Guidance: Mentors or educates others in the field.
- Leadership: Takes on leadership roles in organizations that support child care.
Nominee Qualifications
- Certified or licensed family child care provider in Wisconsin.
- No serious non-compliance issues.
- Must be attending this year's WFCCA Conference.
- Cannot have previously won the Provider of the Year or Governor’s Award.

Complete the Provider of the Year nomination form. You may also email additional materials - such as photos, program details, or testimonials from parents or colleagues - to info@wisconsinfamilychildcare.org. Please include both the nominee's name and your name so we can match your submission with the correct nomination form.
